• OSM: make a relation child of another using JOSM

  
  How to make relation B a child of relation A so that A will be the parent relation of B and B will be a member of A.
  
  1. Select a feature that is a member of A. To do this press the key S on your keyboard and then klick on the feature (a way or a node).
  2. In the tab for Tags/Memberships double-click on relation A. A window will open. Move it a bit away, for example down to the screen, so you can see the main window of josm.
  3. Select a feature that is a member of B.
  4. In the tab for Tags/Memberships right-click on relation B and click on "Select relation".
  5. Move the new opened window from the previous steps so you can see it.
  6. On the right of this window under "Selection" there will be your selected relation.
  7. Click on the uppermost button left to the Selection to add relation B as first member of relation A.
  8. Klick on OK.
  9. You are done. Relation B is now a child of relation A.
